Description
0–00 Gauge (1/0–2/0 AWG) Firewall Cable Pass-Through — 2 Pack
Route large automotive power cable cleanly and securely through vehicle firewalls, bulkheads, floor pans, battery compartments, equipment panels, and other pass-through surfaces. This 2-pack uses the same long-thread PG21 VoltPassThru metal cable glands as the single-pack version, making it ideal for installations that need two protected cable pass-throughs. Built with nickel-plated brass bodies, NBR panel seals, metal locknuts, compression cable seals, and rear anti-chafe exit bushings.

Common wire labels: 0 Gauge = 1/0 AWG • 00 Gauge = 2/0 AWG
Actual finished cable outside diameter is the final fit criterion. Nominal wire gauge is only a starting reference. Confirm the required clearance hole against the gland before drilling.

Built for Automotive & Car Audio Installations
- Car-Audio Amplifier Power Wiring — route heavy positive and ground cables cleanly through the firewall to amplifiers or distribution blocks.
- Automotive Firewall Cable Routing — protect high-current wiring passing through vehicle firewalls and structural bulkheads.
- Battery Relocation Projects — safely pass battery cables through vehicle floor pans, rear compartments, or battery boxes.
- Auxiliary Dual-Battery Systems — ideal for winches, secondary battery isolators, charging circuits, and inverter feeds.
- Equipment Panels & Bulkheads — provide permanent, strain-relieved cable entry through vehicle sheet metal or equipment enclosures.
Why Use a Threaded Firewall Grommet?
- Threaded Mechanical Mounting — positive locknut clamping fastens the body permanently through sheet metal panels so it will not pop loose under vibration.
- Compression Cable Grip — tightens evenly around the cable jacket for a secure, weather-resistant barrier that helps reduce cable movement at the pass-through.
- Nickel-Plated Brass Construction — durable metallic construction designed for demanding automotive, engine-bay, and electrical installations.
- Long 18 mm Mounting Threads — provides extra mounting reach through sheet metal, double-walled bulkheads, and vehicle panels.
- Dual NBR Panel Sealing — panel sealing washers sit on both sides of the mounting surface to isolate the cabin from engine heat, road spray, and fumes.
- Rear Anti-Chafe Exit Protection — the included rear Anti-Chafe Bushing helps protect cable insulation against abrasion where it exits the threaded body.
IP68 rated when properly sized, fitted, and installed.
Cable Fit & Compatibility
Actual finished cable outside diameter is the final fit criterion. Automotive, welding, battery, and car-audio cable can vary considerably in outside diameter even when sold as the same nominal wire gauge. Measure the finished cable O.D. before ordering.
For complete measurement procedures and step-by-step guidance, refer to the VoltPassThru Auto Sizing Guide.
Published Cable O.D. Examples:
- KnuKonceptz Kolossus Flex 1/0 AWG — 16 mm O.D.
- Sky High Car Audio 1/0 OFC — 16 mm O.D.
- TEMCo Easy-Flex 1/0 AWG — 13.36 mm O.D.
- TEMCo Easy-Flex 2/0 AWG — 14.33 mm O.D.
Published manufacturer dimensions are provided as sizing examples. Cable jacket diameter varies by brand and construction; measure your finished cable O.D. before ordering. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Installation
- Measure Cable: Measure the finished cable O.D. and confirm it falls within the 10–18 mm range.
- Check Clearance: Verify panel and rear clearance before making the opening, inspecting both sides of the mounting location.
- Prepare Opening: Prepare the opening, deburr the edge, and protect exposed bare steel where appropriate.
- Install Gland: Install the gland through the panel with the panel sealing washers correctly positioned in order.
- Secure Locknut: Secure firmly with the supplied metal locknut.
- Route & Secure: Route the cable, tighten the compression cap, and support the cable to maintain an appropriate bend radius.
