Description
5–10 mm Cable Entry for Solar, Battery & DC Systems
Route battery, solar, and inverter cable cleanly through an enclosure or equipment panel. Unlike a basic push-in fitting, the threaded nickel-plated brass body locks securely to the panel while the compression cap grips the cable jacket. Dual NBR panel washers help seal both sides of the mounting surface for a clean, finished cable entry.

Built for Solar, Battery & DC Systems
- Battery & Inverter Wiring — secure DC cable through battery boxes, inverter cabinets, and power panels.
- Solar Enclosures — route round-jacketed solar cable cleanly into combiner boxes and equipment enclosures.
- RV & Off-Grid Systems — create a finished cable entry through electrical compartments and bulkheads.
- DC Equipment — organize cable entry for chargers, controllers, junction boxes, and auxiliary equipment.
Why Use a Threaded Cable Gland?
- Threaded Mechanical Mounting — locks securely to the panel instead of relying on a push-in fit.
- Compression Cable Grip — tightens around the cable jacket for a secure, finished pass-through and helps reduce movement at the entry point.
- Nickel-Plated Brass Construction — durable metal construction for demanding automotive, battery, and electrical installations.
- Dual NBR Panel Sealing — washers sit on both sides of the mounting surface to help keep the entry sealed.
- Anti-Chafe Protection — the rear Anti-Chafe Bushing helps protect the cable jacket where it exits the threaded body.
Cable Fit & Compatibility
Cable O.D. is the primary fit measurement. PV, battery, and inverter cables can vary significantly in outside diameter even when their conductor size is similar.
Published Cable O.D. Examples:
- Southwire 2000V XLPE PV Cable 10 AWG — 6.68 mm O.D.
- Southwire 2000V XLPE PV Cable 12 AWG — 6.17 mm O.D.
- WindyNation 600V XLPE PV Cable 12 AWG — 5.6 mm O.D.
- TEMCo Easy-Flex welding/battery cable — 6 AWG — 7.7 mm O.D.
- TEMCo Easy-Flex welding/battery cable — 4 AWG — 8.41 mm O.D.
Published manufacturer dimensions are provided as sizing examples. Cable jacket diameter varies by brand and construction; measure your finished cable O.D. before ordering. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.
